Souvenir de la Malmaison is one of the finest surviving Bourbon roses, often called the Queen of Beauty and Fragrance. Cultivated in 1843, it was named after Château de Malmaison, the legendary rose garden of Empress Joséphine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte.
