IGUAZU is the largest waterfall in the world bordering Argentina and Brazil.  It is made up of approximately 275 different vertical drops and has been voted one of the wonders of the natural world.

 The word IGUAZU is derived from the Guarani or Tupi words ‘y’ (i) meaning ‘water’ and ‘uasu’ (wa’su) meaning ‘big’ - Big Water. 

The falls came into existence by a wide-spread volcanic event in conjunction with continental rifting in the Early Cretaceous.  There still is a distinct feel of this ancient energy at and around the falls!

Now I’m going to share a little story with You All which is very special to me!  One evening while having dinner I recall a young boy selling ‘amethyst’ crystals he had collected himself from the land around the falls!  Children would sell these to help feed themselves and their families!  He came up to our table and both my husband and I at the same time said we’ll buy the whole bag! The little fellow was thrilled and so were we! 

Here’s the magical part - these crystals became the main ‘protectors’ of my Argentine Essences!   They hold such ancient wisdom and knowledge of the land along with powerful healing energies and I just love that they were ‘chosen’ / ’picked’ by a ‘child’ - the ‘future generation of our planet - the ‘innocence’ that brought them to us - actually in my mind ‘gifted’ them to us simply couldn’t have been more perfect!   Eternally grateful!
