Metatron is an angel in Judaism, Christianity and islam. He is one of the most powerful archangels, and is described as the celestial scribe for the Book of Life. He is also a guide to humanity, and is the speaker for God
Metatron is not a figure in the Hebrew Bible, but his name appears in the Talmud, the Aggadah, and mystical Kabbalistic texts. He is variously identified as the Prince of the Presence, as Michael the archangel, or as Enoch after his bodily ascent into heaven.
Jewish literature, such as the Book of Enoch, Metatron is called the "highest of the angels". However, not all branches of the faith accept Metatron as an angel.
In some stories, Metatron was once a human named Enoch, who was transformed into the Archangel Metatron and placed next to God. He watches over angels, records humanity's sins and good deeds, and acts as a guide and spokesperson for God.
